Gabriela Banuet is the owner and founder of Banuet Training Method. After closing her studio in Mexico City 22 years ago, she moved to Arizona and wanted to continue her passion, which was teaching and training dancers. She decided to take her dance journey by helping the dance community and creating her own method 15 years ago with a strong background in dance, pilates, and fitness knowledge. Gabriela realized the lack of training in the dancing world and noticed dancers suffering more often from injuries and limitations. This inspired Gabriela to invest in herself by retraining her own faulty patterns of movement and body mechanics. Acquiring this new knowledge led her to the realization that training the body was not enough and that the connection between body/mind through new healthy patterns while changing old anatomical patterns learned from previous years of dance training, was ultimately going to advance her practices and support her clients in the best way possible. Gabriela’s method is a corrective method that helps you break down each element of body-mind connection and incorporates concepts such as targeting joint and general body alignment, muscle activation for strengthening pelvic muscles, and correcting poor posture/muscle imbalances to improve strength and flexibility with a mindset of preventing injuries successfully.
The Banuet Method will teach you how to understand the fundamentals of your body while connecting and strengthening your powerhouse. It utilizes pilates and other various methods through effective patterns of flexibility and strength with greater mind-body awareness and is intended for improving muscle imbalances you may have in order to prevent injuries. Precision and close attention to detail are essential in this training such as, alignment, posture, timing of weight transition, as well as understanding “flow state,” which is characterized by intense focus and immersion in the action of strength and flexibility. Banuet Training Method trains the mind and focuses on correcting misalignments, it’s not just about training the physical body!
